I have about just enough of my cable operator always dropping the ball on me and not giving me the proper service that I want and deserve. I just keep on getting blurry pictures and the bills are always “extra high” because of some charges that were not told to me the first time that I had the cable connected. I’m not writing the name of the company here because the mere thought of it just makes me want to throw things, but right now, I have got to get my programming problem fixed, at least before the next WWE pay per view.

I’m thinking of having DIRECT TV installed in my home, though I am just worried about the holes that they will be drilling on my roof. Unless DIRECTTV can mount it on the ground or maybe on a pole, then I might really consider getting their service. The problem is my area is somehow monopolized by my cable operator and I can’t find a Direct TV Satellite dealer near me. I really want to change provider though and I really need a friendly advice fast so I can immediately have their people come and install a dish to my house.

Dining alfresco is one of my favorite ways to eat out. I love to feel the cool fresh air and smell of the growing plants and trees in a garden setting. However, due to some financial constraint we couldn’t always get what we want. Sometimes we have to keep in mind that cooking at home is not only economical but also brings the family closer. Having an outdoor barbeque is one of the best bonding moment that I share with my family members in a get together.

Even kids love to participate grilling some barbeque and you can see that they’re really having fun. What more if you have your own garden and complete outdoor dining sets in your own backyard. Patio dining sets are also very decorative and perfect in case you’re looking for perfect patio furniture. I think I’m really growing up because instead of some personal shopping needs I’m considering pampering my home with more furniture and useful appliance. I want my home to look better and invest more into something more worthwhile than just dresses and shoes. Complete wood dining sets are not that costly but they can add a big difference in your home. This is again, one of my set goals for 2010.

The current weather changes that we are experiencing nowadays are sometimes alarming. If you would watch the news about weather disturbances, you can be literally disturbed. Last summer, the earth has given us quite high humidity and strong typhoons hit some areas not to mention record setting floods and hurricanes. The same thing is happening this winter season. World breaking snowstorm and sub-zero temperature have brought chaos in many parts of the world leaving tens of thousands of people stranded and worse, hit by accident.

In this kind of natural disasters, how do we make sure that our loved ones and our homes are protected? I’m not an expert of home design and safety but some people at least know how to make our homes safer. This group of professionals knows exactly what’s best for our homes to make our homes a better and safer shelter. For instance, my house never had gutter protection but my sister had gutter roof in her house. According to her builders, they serve as gutter guard for the house against the leaves and organic debris that are blown by the wind. They also work well in case of torrential rains. I think there’s no such easy way to prepare for natural calamities except preparation and awareness.

New Year is definitely here and what better way to start it is by working on the house and getting new stuff that we can use. Inside my house, it is definitely the case as I tried to make sure that before 2009 ended, I was able to get things started by buying some new bathroom organization and storage items for all the bathrooms that we have inside the house. I decided to replace all of the hooks and towel bars since some of them already have different appearances and I would not want to use them anymore.

Then, I bought some new shower curtains, as well as bigger medicine cabinet for the bathroom in the master’s bedroom so we could put some more things in it. I also decided to buy a couple of humidifiers for the house, one in the living room and one in the dining area, so I could check if it would be a good idea to have. If it works perfectly, I’ll try to add some more for the second floor as well. Finally, I decided to look for new vacuum cleaners because the old one just can’t do it anymore. I thought I’d buy one this week.
